Need to go to different sites to find a tour. Users are forced to browse several sites to find and compare tours.

User Problem

We have combined offers from different tour operators on one platform, giving users the opportunity to search and compare tours in one place. We have also added a "favorites" function so that the user can save tours for further comparison.

Solution

Home Screen

Users find it difficult to navigate the platform due to the many filters and unnecessary information.

User Problem

We optimized the interface, making it intuitive and minimalistic. Reduced the number of filters and focused on the parameters that are most important to users.

Solution

Payment Page

A difficult booking process that discourages the user due to the many steps.

User Problem

We have added designations of each booking step to the interface. This will help reduce user stress, as they will see the entire booking process step by step.

Empathy Map

Sees

A complex interface with too many unnecessary options and filters.

Inconsistent pricing between advertised and actual costs.

Multiple websites and apps to browse in order to find the right tour.

Ads for “cheap” tours that turn out to be much more expensive during booking.

Pain Points

Complicated navigation and difficult-to-use filters on tour websites.

A tedious process of finding a tour, constantly switching between platforms.

Pricing transparency and hidden fees that emerge during booking.

Uncertainty about finding the best deal, leading to doubt and dissatisfaction.

Does

Searches for tours across different platforms, comparing prices and offers.

Opens multiple tabs in their browser to cross-reference information.

Often abandons

the booking process midway due to confusion.

Shares their negative experience with friends or leaves reviews online.

Says

"I need to quickly find the right tour without all the extra information."

"Why do prices keep changing? I can’t figure out the actual cost!"

"I want to find everything in one place without jumping btw sites."

"I don’t want to deal with this confusing interface—it’s too complicated."

Unique Features

Single access to all offers on one platform. Integration with several tour operators allows users to see all possible options on one site, eliminating the need to compare offers on different platforms.

Tour comparison function. The ability to compare several tours by various parameters (price, conditions, reviews, included services) helps users make decisions faster.

Price transparency with full calculation of the final cost. The final cost of tours is displayed without hidden surcharges, which eliminates user mistrust and facilitates decision-making.

Pain Points

1.

The need to use multiple

sites to find the right tour

Users are frustrated with having to check multiple websites to compare prices and offers. They dislike switching between different platforms, learning new interfaces, and finding the best deals, making the tour search process tedious and inconvenient.

2.

Hidden fees

Many users complain that the prices shown on the website are not final, and additional taxes and hidden fees significantly increase the total cost.

3.

Complex navigation

Users struggle with platforms that have complex navigation, an overwhelming amount of unnecessary information, and non-intuitive design.

User Research

I conducted several interviews with users, asking them different questions.

How often do you use websites

to search and book tours?

I search for tours about two or three times a year, mostly for holidays or short trips. I usually use different platforms because I can’t find everything I need in one place.

What annoys you most when working with such sites?

Firstly, different websites have different designs, and you have to get used to a new interface every time. Secondly, often not all prices are immediately visible, and some websites require registration to book something.

What would you like to change during the tour booking process?

I would like everything to be more organized and intuitive. I would like to see the final price without hidden extra charges and for the selection process to be simpler and faster.

What do you think would improve your tour search experience?

I would like all the offers to be on one site with a convenient filter system and transparent prices. It would also be great if the site helped me choose based on my preferences.

The Problem

  1. Users face the problem of complex navigation and overloaded interfaces. They have to spend too much time searching for the necessary information, which causes a feeling of irritation and inconvenience, which leads to them not completing the booking and leaving the site.
  2. High cost of tours makes users doubt about the purchase. They want to find good deals, but the current prices may exceed their budget, which is why users go looking for cheaper options from competitors. This leads to cancellation of the booking and loss of customers for the platform.
  3. Users do not want to spend time and effort studying many sites in search of a tour. It is difficult for them to compare offers on different platforms, which makes the search and booking process tedious and ineffective.
